About Us

Our mission is to improve the quality of life in the communities we serve. We do this by providing nursing, certified nurse assistant, social worker, rehabilitation and hospice services in the comfort of our patients' home.

The Visiting Nurse Service of Greater Rhode Island is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). We're also a Medicare and Medicaid Certified Home Health and Hospice agency in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Every year our agency provides an average of 90,000 visits to approximately 2500 patients. We also care for about 5000 people at our clinics. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, insurance plans and self-payment. We also have financial assistance for those in need.
